Frequently asked questions
How much does VAT registration cost?
My service fee is £150, paid once. HMRC does not charge a fee to register for VAT, so there is nothing else to pay.
When do I have to register for VAT?
You must register once your taxable turnover for the last 12 months goes over £90,000, or if you expect it to go over £90,000 in the next 30 days.
Can I register for VAT before reaching the threshold?
Yes. A new UK limited company can register voluntarily from the start. This is common for Amazon sellers and businesses that want to reclaim VAT on stock and costs.
How long does VAT registration take?
HMRC usually issues a VAT number within a few weeks. I track the application and send you the VAT number and certificate once issued.
Do I need a UK company to get a VAT number?
A UK limited company is the most common setup. If you do not have one yet, I can form your UK LTD and register it for VAT together.
