Frequently asked questions
How much does a Certificate of Good Standing cost?
$79 flat, with the state government fee included. The price is the same for all 50 states and Washington DC, so there is nothing extra to pay at checkout.
How long does it take to get?
Most states issue the certificate within 1 to 3 business days. A few states that only process by mail can take longer, and I will tell you the expected time for your state before ordering.
What if my company is not in good standing?
I will tell you why, such as a missed annual report or unpaid franchise tax, and quote the cost to fix it. The certificate is ordered once your company is back in good standing.
Is a long-form or expedited certificate included?
The $79 covers the standard (short-form) certificate. Long-form certificates and expedited state processing cost more in some states, such as Delaware, and are quoted separately.
Why would I need a Certificate of Good Standing?
Banks, payment processors, Amazon and other marketplaces, landlords and business partners often ask for one to confirm your company is active and compliant with the state.
